Grad Night is Completely Run by Parent Volunteers!

Some of us help just a little, and others a lot, and we work together to help keep this fantastic tradition of Grad Night going here on our campus.

It takes a small army to plan, organize and carry out this huge celebration and it takes the involvement of parents at each grade level to continue this fabulous event. The more knowledge and experience our volunteers bring to this event, the more fun and exciting the party is for our graduates. Don’t wait until your student is a senior. If you have a 9th, 10th or 11th grader, get involved now!

Board Members and Chair Positions are asked to try to attend the monthly meetings. Several of our Chair Positions require very little or even no time throughout the year, with more time needed in June. In addition to our Board Member and Chair Position volunteers who work in advance to prepare for Grad Night, lots of volunteer help is also needed right before, during and after the event. As we get closer to the event, sign-ups will be posted on our website for help needed during the week of Grad NIght.

Sign-ups for all the help needed during the week of Grad Night will be posted here on our website after they are made available at the parent meeting in April.

The Week of Grad Night:

  • Construction and decoration setup the weekend and weekdays leading up to the night of the event is a big job that takes many hands. Any amount of time you can contribute during those final days is greatly appreciated, as there is so much work to be done.
  • On the night of the event we need lots of help with game booths, food, the casino and other fun activities that go on throughout the night and it’s a great time with folks from our community. Please consider volunteering for a shift.
  • And of course, after all the fun and excitement of Grad Night comes to an end, the part that most people would like to forget about – cleanup! It takes almost as many volunteers to take it all down and put it away as it does to set it up. Cleanup begins at 3am and continues until it is completed. The more help we have, the quicker it gets done.

Please consider stepping up to keep this tradition going (since 1987) and to continue providing a safe and sober event for our kids to attend. If there’s something in particular that you’d like to help with, or if you simply have a question, feel free to email one of our Board Members or just come to one of our monthly meetings and check us out.
